Ancient Cymru
Cymru:
Cymru is the old Welsh name for Wales.
Cymru
Wales (Welsh: Cymru [ˈkəm.rɨ] (📷listen)) is a country that is part of the United Kingdom.

Mereruka:
Now, Aryan looking people can be traced all the way back to at least 2600 BC in positions of high power in Ancient egypt.
There is copious amounts of evidence for this.
I will provide "one" piece of evidence for this thread.
Mereruka
Mereruka served during the Sixth Dynasty of Egypt as one of Egypt's most powerful officials at a time when the influence of local state noblemen was increasing in wealth and power. Mereruka held numerous titles along with that of Vizier), which made him the most powerful person in Egypt after the king himself.

Hyksos:
Ancient Egypt had pretty much been under foreign influence and rulership, for much of Ancient Egypts history.
However this changed again, in 1549 BC, when "not for the first time", a native ancient Egyptian launched a successful Theban uprising against foreign rulers, and expelled them from Egypt.
Ahmose I
Ahmose I (Ancient Egyptian: jꜥḥ ms(j.w), reconstructed /ʔaʀaħ'ma:sjə/ (MK), Egyptological pronunciation Ahmose, sometimes written as Amosis or Aahmes, meaning "Iah (the Moon) is born"[5][6]) was a pharaoh and founder of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt, classified as the first dynasty of the New Kingdom of Egypt, the era in which ancient Egypt achieved the peak of its power. He was a member of the Theban royal house, the son of pharaoh Seqenenre Tao and brother of the last pharaoh of the Seventeenth dynasty, Kamose. During the reign of his father or grandfather, Thebes rebelled against the Hyksos, the rulers of Lower Egypt. When he was seven years old, his father was killed,[7] and he was about ten when his brother died of unknown causes after reigning only three years. Ahmose I assumed the throne after the death of his brother,[8] and upon coronation became known as nb-pḥtj-rꜥ "The Lord of Strength is Ra".
During his reign, Ahmose completed the conquest and expulsion of the Hyksos from the Nile Delta, restored Theban rule over the whole of Egypt and successfully reasserted Egyptian power in its formerly subject territories of Nubia and Canaan.

Thutmose III:
However the native ancient Egyptians did not leave it here. And one of Ahmose I's descendants would lead the greatest military invasion in to enemy lands, that the Ancient egyptian empire ever saw.
Thutmose III
Widely considered a military genius by historians, Thutmose III conducted at least 16 campaigns in 20 years.[14] He was an active expansionist ruler, sometimes called Egypt's greatest conqueror or "the Napoleon of Egypt."[15] He is recorded to have captured 350 cities during his rule and conquered much of the Near East from the Euphrates to Nubia during seventeen known military campaigns. He was the first pharaoh after Thutmose I to cross the Euphrates, doing so during his campaign against Mitanni.

Mitanni kings:
Now, it must be pointed out, that Thutmose was now subjugating kings that are on the outskirts of a European empire, as the Mitanni kings, even though their kingdom is populated by Akkadian/Sumerian speakers, are in fact Indo-Aryan kings.
They are likely on the retreat, from this Hyksos conquest, but they also likely have an empire of their own they can call upon, if required.
Mitanni
While the Mitanni kings were supposedly Indo-Aryan, they used the language of the local people, which was at that time a non-Indo-European language, Hurrian.

Mitanni
Hittite empire:
Now, to the left of the kings of Mitanni, there was an empire named "the Hittite empire".
The Hittites came down and became native Egypts biggest rival, and immediately put the Egyptian expansion in to reverse.
Hittites
Between the 15th and 13th centuries BCE, the Empire of Hattusa, conventionally called the Hittite Empire, came into conflict with the New Kingdom of Egypt, the Middle Assyrian Empire and the empire of the Mitanni for control of the Near East.

Hittite empire
Origins:
Now, the Hittites were not native to Antolia, they were actually european.
Originally, they were likely from the Caucasus, pretty close to the Scandinavian land bridge between Russia and Finland.
They came from Old europe, which makes them 50% Aryan, at the very least.
You might also want to ask yourself, how on earth did this empire just suddenly become powerful enough to put the Ancient egyptian empire in to reverse?
Origins
According to Anthony, steppe herders, archaic Proto-Indo-European speakers, spread into the lower Danube valley about 4200–4000 BC, either causing or taking advantage of the collapse of Old Europe).[25] Their languages "probably included archaic Proto-Indo-European dialects of the kind partly preserved later in Anatolian."[26] Their descendants later moved into Anatolia at an unknown time but maybe as early as 3000 BC.[27] According to J. P. Mallory it is likely that the Anatolians reached the Near East from the north either via the Balkans or the Caucasus in the 3rd millennium BC.[28]
Kassites:
Now eventually the Hittites conquered the Egyptian vassalship of Babylonia.
Though the Hittites handed vassalship of Babylonia over to their Kassite allies, thus turning Babylonia in to a Hittite vassal kingdom.
Old kingdom
Mursili continued the conquests of Hattusili I. Mursili's conquests reached southern Mesopotamia and even ransacked Babylon itself in 1531 BC (short chronology).[44] Rather than incorporate Babylonia into Hittite domains, Mursili seems to have instead turned control of Babylonia over to his Kassite allies,
Eu-Gamil:
Of course, the Semitic/Sumerian ex babylonians did not give up Babylonia that easily, and likely retreated to a swampy area in Sealand, from were they could continue to conduct hit and run guerrilla warfare upon the Kassites.
Ea-gamil
Ea-gâmil, the ultimate king of the dynasty, fled to Elam ahead of an invading horde led by Kassite chief Ulam-Buriaš, brother of the king of Babylon Kashtiliash III, who conquered the Sealand, incorporated it into Babylonia and “made himself master of the land.”

Sealand dynasty:
The Kassites were likely able to defeat the Sealanders with the help of their navy, and add "master of Sealand", to the growing number of Hittite titles.
It is likely that the Kassites were the Naval arm of the Hittite empire, and this is why Babylonia was given to the Kassites.
The perfect area for a naval base, given the Port of UR allowing easy access to the Indian ocean, and port of Tyre offering easy access to the Mediterranaen, as well as easy access to the Euphrates and Tigres.
The Hittites likely had other Western naval groups that were in supervision of Troy.
Sealand dynasty
The Sealand Dynasty, (URU.KÙKI[nb 1][1][2]) or the 2nd Dynasty of Babylon (although it was independent of Amorite-ruled Babylon), very speculatively c. 1732–1460 BC (short chronology), is an enigmatic series of kings attested to primarily in laconic references in the king lists A and B, and as contemporaries recorded on the Assyrian Synchronistic king list A.117. The dynasty, which had broken free of the short lived, and by this time crumbling Babylonian Empire, was named for the province in the far south of Mesopotamia, a swampy region bereft of large settlements which gradually expanded southwards with the silting up of the mouths of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers

Ramesses III:
Rameeses III's reign ended with the end of the Native egyptian empire.
He was able to win a "battle" against the Sea peoples, but unfortunately, the 200 year war against Sea peoples, took it's toll on Egypt, and Egypt fell to the Hittites Libyan allies.
Ramesses III
He led the way by defeating the invaders known as "the Sea Peoples", who had caused destruction in other civilizations and empires. He was able to save Egypt from collapsing at the time when many other empires fell during the Late Bronze Age; however, the damage of the invasions took a toll on Egypt.[1]
Constant war:
Constant war against Libyans, and Sea peoples, took it's toll.
Tenure of constant war
During his long tenure in the midst of the surrounding political chaos of the Late Bronze Age collapse, Egypt was beset by foreign invaders (including the so-called Sea Peoples and the Libyans)
Ramesses II:
Hittite land armies began defeating the crumbling Egyptian land armies, as the Egyptians simply could not handle fighting Sea peoples attacking from boats and rivers, Libyans, at the same time as fighting Hittites in pitch battles.
Third Syria campaign
Egypt's sphere of influence was now restricted to Canaan while Syria fell into Hittite hands.
Merneptah:
Merneptah recorded the defeat as being a defeat coming from "Northerners" of all lands.
Campaigns
[Beginning of the victory that his majesty achieved in the land of Libya] -I, Ekwesh, Teresh, Lukka, Sherden, Shekelesh, Northerners coming from all lands.

23rd dynasty:
By the 23rd dynasty, Libyans would assume the throne of Egypt.
Libyans had been one of Egypts longest lasting enemies.
23rd dynasty of egypt
The Twenty-third Dynasty of Egypt (notated Dynasty XXIII, alternatively 23rd Dynasty or Dynasty 23) is usually classified as the third dynasty of the ancient Egyptian Third Intermediate Period. This dynasty consisted of a number of Meshwesh ancient Libyan (Berber) kings, who ruled either as pharaohs or independent kings of parts of Upper Egypt from 880 BC to 720 BC, and pharaohs from 837 BC to 728 BC.
Ukraine:
Now, i would like to go back to the earliest known roots for the Hittite empire.
Ukraine would be a good start, as Ukraine is pretty close to the Caucasus.
Ukraine
Ukraine (Ukrainian: Україна, romanized: Ukrayina, pronounced [ʊkrɐˈjinɐ] (📷listen); Russian: Украина, tr. Ukraina, IPA: [ʊkrɐˈinə]) is a country in Eastern Europe.[10] It is bordered by Russia to the east and north-east; Belarus to the north; Poland, Slovakia and Hungary to the west; and Romania, Moldova, and the Black Sea to the south. Ukraine also borders the Crimean Peninsula to its south, which Russia annexed from Ukraine in 2014, though Ukraine still continues to claim the territory.[11] Including the Crimean Peninsula, Ukraine has an area of 603,628 km2 (233,062 sq mi),[12] making it the second-largest country by area in Europe after Russia,
Link for photo.png)
Ukraine
Scoloti:
Now, in around 700 BC there was a tribe/army turned up in the Ukraine named the Scoloti.
This tribe allied themselves to the already existing tribe/army, in this region, named "the Crimmerians".
You have likely heard of the Scoloti.
Another name for them, is Scythians.
The Scythians are a people at the centre of the age of migrations, were tribes begin branching off in their seperate directions across europe, likely at the end of the fall of the Hittite empire.
The migrations, take the exact same root as the previous migrations, only, this time, in the opposite direction.
Scythians
Based in what is modern-day Ukraine and southern Russia, the Scythians called themselves Scoloti and were led by a nomadic warrior aristocracy known as the Royal Scythians.
In the 7th century BC, the Scythians crossed the Caucasus and frequently raided the Middle East along with the Cimmerians, playing an important role in the political developments of the region.[10]

Age of migrations
Scylfings:
Now, according to Norse-mythology, the first Swedish kings arrived in Sweden at the end of the age of Migrations.
Yngling
The Ynglings were a legendary dynasty of kings, supposedly originating from Sweden. It can refer to the clans of the Scylfings (Old Norse Skilfingar), the semi-legendary royal Swedish clan during the Age of Migrations,
Onela:
In fact, they "usurped" already existing Swedish thrones.
Onela
Onela was according to Beowulf a Swedish king, the son of Ongentheow and the brother of Ohthere. He usurped the Swedish throne, but was killed by his nephew Eadgils, who won by hiring foreign assistance.
Cimmerians:
Now Cimmerians pre-dated the Scythians in this region, though they did ally themselves with the Scythians.Scoloti, suggesting they already had some cultural association, though in fact, they were slightly seperate peoples.
Cimmerians
The Cimmerians (also Kimmerians; Greek: Κιμμέριοι, Kimmérioi) were a nomadic Indo-European people, who appeared about 1000 BC[1] and are mentioned later in 8th century BC in Assyrian records. While the Cimmerians were often described by contemporaries as culturally "Scythian", they evidently differed ethnically from the Scythians proper, who also displaced and replaced the Cimmerians
Doggerland:
It is to do with the fact that Doggerland once connected britain to France, and therefore Britain was a little more Eurasian in genetics than those from the house of Ynglings, that are pure Aryans.
Link for photo
Doggerland
War:
The Scotoli would actually later turn on the Cimmerians, and send them in to Germany.
Scythians
the Scythians replaced the Cimmerians as the dominant power on the Pontic Steppe in the 8th century BC.[10
Royal family:
The Cimmerians did not stand a chance against the Scotoli/Scythians, as the Royal family were Scotoli.
Scythians
Scoloti and were led by a nomadic warrior aristocracy known as the Royal Scythians.
Meshwesh:
Now, it is likely that the "Meshwesh" referred to by Ramesses III as being one of the many groups which made up the Sea-peoples, the Meshwesh were likely Cimmerians.
Tenure of constant war
internal strife which would eventually lead to the collapse of the Twentieth Dynasty. In Year 8 of his reign, the Sea Peoples, including Peleset, Denyen, Shardana, Meshwesh of the sea, and Tjekker, invaded Egypt by land and sea.
Welsh man:
Now, the reason for this, is that Cimmerian translates in to the old Brythonic language as "Welshman".
This theory is accepted now, so much, that most scholars and historians now accept, that the Cimmerians were under over-lordship
Legacy
Early modern historians asserted Cimmerian descent for the Celts or the Germans, arguing from the similarity of Cimmerii to Cimbri or Cymry. The etymology of Cymro "Welshman" (plural: Cymry), connected to the Cimmerians by 17th-century Celticists, is now accepted by Celtic linguists as being derived from a Brythonic word *kom-brogos, meaning "compatriot".[21] The Cambridge Ancient History classifies the Maeotians as either a people of Cimmerian ancestry or as Caucasian under Iranian overlordship.[22]
Britain:
Does this mean that the Cimmerians were Welsh?
Not exactly.
It means that Brythonic speaking people with origins in Briton were in the middle to near east, fighting wars, during this period, and were likely fighting for the legendary, but most likely, factual, house of Ynglings.
It also means, it is likely not unbelievable in the slightest, that in 900 BC, a man named Brutus turned up on the shores of cornwall in a boat, and became the first King of Britain.
Brutus of Troy:
Link for photo
Brutus, or Brute of Troy, is a legendary descendant of the Trojan hero Aeneas, known in medieval British history as the eponymous founder and first king of Britain. This legend first appears in the Historia Brittonum, an anonymous 9th-century historical compilation to which commentary was added by Nennius, but is best known from the account given by the 12th-century chronicler Geoffrey of Monmouth in his Historia Regum Britanniae.

Brutus
Summary:
It would actually be more unbelievable, that this legend, is not true. Given what we know about contemporary history.

2019.04.04 14:13 pothkan Eureddision 2018/19 Regular

Good day, Eureddision team here! Many of you probably still remember our special edition few weeks ago (which was originally intended to happen last Autumn btw). Today we proudly announce the opening of 2nd regular edition: Eureddision 2018/19 (2018 - because it's focused on songs released in 2018; and 2019 - because well, it's 2019). In case you somehow missed what Eureddision is, check our FAQ.
This is going to be the only announcement here in Europe (at least a stickied one - we admit there were way too many during the special) until national qualifications end & the final voting starts, so sorry for the long read below - so, please bear with us! Some further minor threads (as list of links to national qualifications) shall be posted at Eureddision, so if you want to be up to date, you can subscribe there.
We would also like to thank team of our hosts - Europe - who are more hospitable (in juggling our stickies in limited free slots) than we could expect.

Song rules

Participants

Attention: If you are an user of any of European subreddit from above groups 2-3. (not already listed as participating, and you're willing to volunteer and help or handle the qualifications, consider offering it to your mods (check here to see what tasks would be expected from you). Obviously, you have to do it before Apr 12 deadline.
By the way, we have decided to abandon Rest of Europe selection (experimented during the special), mostly to avoid further conflicts like above. However, it would stay as separate jury group during the final voting, open to users from non-participating European countries.

Schedule

Details here. Keeping to this schedule is in subreddits’ responsibility, so be sure to prompt your mods, if you don’t see qualification threads posted before respective deadlines!

PS. Website design

Last but not least, we have a message from u/RedstoneTehnik: „As you might have noticed, the voting webpage is not the prettiest creation out there. That's because our website person (me) is mainly there for back-end. But if you are experienced in front-end design (we are using Jinja2 templates; knowledge of Python is not required, I can help with that part) and have a talent for designing things (at least more of it than I have) e.g. making neat drop-down menus, feel free to contact me either here on Reddit, or on Discord at redstone.tehnik#7139”.

2018.02.14 19:22 xantippa1 My (26/f) bf (30/m) told me he loves me, but I still love my ex (28/m)

I was single for a year since my breakup with my ex. It totally destroyed me, but this January I finally felt I moved on. I was not feeling sad thinking about my ex, I wasn't feeling any pain or anything else so I felt ready to date again. I met my current bf at that time and we clicked, I actually asked him on a date first as I was really interested in him. So we started dating and just yesterday at night before he left to Ukraina for his skiing trip he told me he fell in love with me. I fell into a deep shock. 1st it is too soon for anybody to fall in love just after a month of being together and 2nd since beginning of this relationship I've started to feel the pain of losing my ex coming back. Memories are haunting me every night, I'm crying myself into sleep almost each night and I'm afraid my bf will see it soon. He doesn't deserve it as he really is a good guy and I don't want to hurt him. I just am not sure I'll ever love him and stop thinking about my ex. What should I do? I was thinking about telling him, but I don't really think it would help anything, especially now after him telling me he loves me. I'm not getting back with my ex as we are in no contact anymore.
Is there any chance I could fall in love with him after some time? (I'm attracted to him and the sex is also good, that's a good start, isn't it?) Or is my behaviour childish and selfish and I should let him go, better hurting him little now than to hurt him more later?
What do you think?

2017.11.07 21:33 A6er 100 subreddits most similar to Metacanada

From the Interactive Map of Reddit and Subreddit Similarity Calculator featured in FiveThirtyEight's "Dissecting Trump's Most Rabid Online Following" article. I was curious about /onguardforthee's similar subreddits as well, but unfortunately the data is not there.
In order to develop the most comprehensive map of these subreddits to date, I analyzed over 1.2 billion comments made by users across 47,494 subreddits (from January 2015 to October 2016) to create a mathematical representation of each subreddit. The core principle is "guilt by association" - if the same user comments in two subreddits they are likely to be linked in interest. So, each subreddit can be represented by a mathematical vector that summarizes how often users commented in that subreddit and also each of the other subreddits.

2015.12.19 05:17 autotldr The economic recovery has clearly come a long way, although it is not yet complete

This is an automatic summary, original reduced by 80%.
The Federal Open Market Committee unanimously voted to set the new target range for the federal funds rate at 0.25 percent to 0.5 percent, up from zero to 0.25 percent.
The quarter-point increase in the target fed funds rate, the overnight interbank lending rate that influences other borrowing costs in the economy, was forecast by 102 of 105 analysts surveyed by Bloomberg News.
Hourly earnings have risen by about an average 2.2 percent annual pace over the past seven years, compared with 3.3 percent in the 20 years through 2008.
As part of the decision, the Fed increased the interest it pays on overnight reverse repos to 0.25 percent from 0.05 percent to put a floor at the lower end of the range.
In a related move, the Fed's Board of Governors unanimously voted to raise the discount rate, which covers direct loans to banks, by a quarter point to 1 percent.
Prior to 2008, the effective fed funds rate had never dropped below 0.63 percent, according to data compiled by the St. Louis Fed dating back to 1954.

2015.10.22 00:47 fhoffa Measuring subreddit engagement: Do the same users come back every day to comment?

Which subreddits have the highest loyal engagement from people commenting?
Regardless of size some subreddits get the same people commenting every day, while other have a lot of users that comment once and never again. With the daily active users divided by the monthly active users measure, we can rank subreddits based on their "stickiness": Do the same people come back every day to comment, or do we have new and different people every day?
For example, /IAmA has the smallest stickiness of all the major subreddits: People come comment for their favorite stars or topics, but don't stay to comment on other topics the next day. Meanwhile /DestinyTheGame and /nfl have the biggest loyal audience coming back.

2015.06.14 20:55 conspirobot Money, and the war on Russia:

poster: mvlazysusan, original conspiracy link
Here is a PDF from the US Federal Reserve that states on page 10 that 70% of all US currency is held outside the USA and used to conduct trade between nations, corporations and people:
http://www.federalreserve.gov/pubs/bulletin/1996/1096lead.pdf
I hope that is sufficient to prove to you that I am not making up this 70% figure.
Here is a concept that is very difficult for most people to grasp, so I will use hypothetical and very rounded off figures:
If there were in existence $100, and $70 were held outside of the country, than $30 would be held inside the country.
If the FED doubled the money supply, and did not doubled the goods and services that money could buy, then each of the previously existing dollars has lost half its purchasing power.
The preexisting $30 inside the US could now buy $15 of stuff, the $70 outside the US could now buy $35 of stuff and the newly printed $100 can now buy $50 of stuff.
The owners of the banks and the US government divide to loot they just effectively taxed out of those holding and using, contracting for future performance between themselves and pricing things in US dollars.
The US government can hand out food stamps and income tax rebates to match the loss of the $15 the US money holders just lost and the US economy has lost nothing in the overall amount, but wealth has been redistributed from some to others.
That still leaves the US government and bankers with $35 in original dollar purchasing power. That money can be spent on things like paying Russia for using its infrastructure to transport weapons to Afghanistan, or weapons supplied to israel, or bribing politicians of both the US and other nations into doing what the US government and bankers want. And the people of the US have not lost a cent in overall wealth of its economy. In this way the US is ably to "export its inflation". But here is a most important part! One does not have to actually be using or holding the US dollars to feel this effect, simply pricing things in US dollars will do the trick. If wheat imports to Egypt are priced in US dollars, the price of bread in Egypt just went up as the dollars become more numerous, even if US dollars are not actually exchanged to make the transaction of wheat being sold to Egypt.
Some people are beginning to catch on, and are beginning to use other things to price things in. When Saddam started to price oil in Euros, he had to go. When Gaddafi got nearly all of Africa to consider a gold backed African Denar, he had to go. And now, Putin and his BRICS/AIIB have to go!
What happens when that $70 outside the US is no longer used to facilitate trade between nations, corporations and people? It comes back to the US and gets spent. For every American saying he will buy a hamburger for $3, there is a Chinaman behind him shouting that he will buy that hamburger that was to feed the American and he will give $7 for it!
But wait, there's more.
Each and every single US dollar existing in the world today has come into being as a loan. (Even those "banker bail-outs" were loans) Not only does that US dollar have to be payed back, but an "interest" must also be payed. Mathematically, there is not enough money to pay back all the loans and interest. But don't worry, the bankers have this figured out too. They will assign an arbitrary US dollar value to your labor or a slice of planet Earth, and you can give the banks that labor or slice of Earth as the "interest". Consider this a sort of algorithm that if taken to its eventual conclusion, the banks will own all labor and slices of Earth on the planet.
In the past one worked, digging up gold for example, and after the work was done they had wealth in the form of the gold they dug up.
In todays world, you have nothing and the banker has nothing. then you want something and get a loan from a banker who printed up the loan/money out of thin air. Now you have wealth but the banker owns your future work, Plus "interest".
If there were two nations. One using the wealth it had already produced as a commodity based money, and one using a promise to pay in the future as a money. The nation using the comity based money would have its growth limited to its ability to save production without consuming that production. The nation using a promise to pay in the future would have its growth only limited to what its trading partners believed the ability to make good on that promise was. The nation using promises could grow its military far beyond the nation using saved commodities, and the saved commodity nation could never be able to compete with the promise nation militarily.
All this war stuff is about forcing you to borrow money and your future from the bankers of choice, but not your choice, the bankers choice.
Corporate media is forbidden to use the name 'Rothschild', instead they talk about that Hasinstab dude who's bonds are due in around 2017 when they are in fact talking about the Rothschilds.

I'm not sure that several billion of Ukrainian debt do to be payed back in October is "short term" or not, but I expect that it is!
Micronesia, Syria, Iran and North Korea are the only countries on the planet that do not have a Rothschild owned Central bank, and the only peoples on the planet that do not rent their future from the owners of their future, the Rothschilds.
Remember when the USSR went bankrupt?
The Military Industrial Complex website Deagel knows that it is a mathematical certainty that the US will also go bankrupt. But it will be orders of magnitude greater in its ramifications.
Here is a link to their list of nations forecast for the year 2025, and the population, military expenditures and purchasing Power Parity (but, they don't want ordinary people to see it, so they banned you from seeing it!):
http://www.deagel.com/country/forecast.aspx?pag=1&sort=GDP&ord=DESC
Here are two snaps for the US and Russian prediction pages:
http://imgur.com/o6maIGC,qH3iEl1
http://imgur.com/o6maIGC,qH3iEl1#1
Take special not of the population of the US in the year 2025.
Deagel stands by this number, and using the internet feature "wayback machine" it shows a changing and decreasing US population as the proverbial can is kicked further down the road and the economic collapse of the US is expected to be worse that a previous prediction. This predicted number does NOT include and nuclear war or comet striking the US, it souly considers migration away from the US by productive able bodied people and older folks not getting the resources to survive when they become incapable to produce those resources themselves.
And a note to the Gold-bugs:
If there are $100 and 100 ounces of gold, then each ounce of gold has a value of $1. If the $ were a loan, and the loan was all payed back, how many dollars do you have to buy that 100 ounces of gold?
The question of "how much is gold worth" should never be asked.
The question should be; "how LONG is gold/silver worth something".
Get a nice crisp US 20 dollar bill that had been under a bed for the last 100 years, and go into a Burgerking and try to buy a hamburger with it. There is a good chance you will be arrested for counterfeiting. The 20 dollar bill in your pocket today would be worth nothing 100 years ago, and will be worth nothing 100 years from today.
Please note: I, mvlazysusan, am the author of these words. I hereby authorize there reprinting in any venue or forum, and while I would like myself named as their author it is not an absolute requirement. Simply having others consider the ideas contained in them is reward enough for me. (The required abundant editing sold separately!)

2015.06.14 20:31 mvlazysusan Money, and the war on Russia:

Please put these two things together:
"" The securities maturing in October and September 2015

I'm not sure that several billion of Ukrainian debt do to be payed back in October is "short term" or not, but I expect that it is!
Micronesia, Syria, Iran and North Korea are the only countries on the planet that do not have a Rothschild owned Central bank, and the only peoples on the planet that do not rent their future from the owners of their future, the Rothschilds.

2015.01.11 06:36 NonZionist What can Russia say to the Fifth Column artists?

What can Russia say to the Fifth Column artists?
Today, I stumbled upon "The Calvert Journal". The site bills itself as "a guide to creative Russia". So I allowed a 06 Mar 2014 Calvert Journal article to guide me to "The influencers: Russia’s top 25 creative women".
Who are the most creative women in all of Russia? Who has the number one position? Pussy Riot.
The next article I came upon, dated 21 May 2014, is titled "Going it alone: can Russian culture survive international isolation?". Well, if Pussy Riot epitomizes "Russian culture", then let it die!

We need to ask just what TCJ means by "Russian culture". To be part of "Russian culture", apparently, one has to:
Does a similar standard apply in the U.S.? Does TCJ require American artists to (1) hate America, (2) hate Obama, and (3) idolize Russia? No -- an American artist who took such a stand would be ostracized and denounced as "political". Here, art and politics are deemed incompatible!

Do these Russian artists, who hate Russian authority with such intensity, ever have anything critical to say about U.S. authority or NATO authority? Have these performers ever condemned a U.S. invasion? Have they ever criticized the U.S. Empire? its war-making, its corruption, its repression, its terror, its torture, its drive to dominate the entire planet? If not, then they are frauds and they should not be given the time of day.
What about alienated Russians who have consistent principles? What can Russia do, if anything, to establish a dialogue with these people, draw them back into the fold, and inlist them in the struggle against fascism? What common ground can be found between Russia and its antagonists?
I think of the idealistic reformist demonstrators in Syria. Three years ago, they opposed the government, but now they support Dr. Assad. And I think of some of the idealists at Maidan in Kiev who now regret their naivety. E.g.: "Yatsenyuk’s former spokesperson outraged by PM’s decision", Ukraina.ru, 26 Dec 2014, cited here
It's possible for naively idealistic people to see the light and change.

Questions Answers
How does the city feel overall? Does it seem more rushed and chaotic than NY or less? OMG so much less. NYC is In-Fucking-Sane. Moscow is only In-Sane haha. Honestly I love NYC but I like Moscow better because there are more parks and more places to enjoy life without a car. I think the Metro is slightly better, although not by much. Obviously the NYC metro is the shining star of the United States and I love it but Moscow is a bit easier to use.
Provided you read Cyrillic of course.
As for Cyrillic, the new subway map kind of tries to help with that... Where do you like to go generally in Moscow? What was your worst experience so far? I like Gorky park. I can say it correctly in Russian of course (Gorkovo) but I don't have the right keyboard to type it. I like going to Red Square also. They do sort of help but I read Cyrillic so it really doesn't matter to me. Worst experience was overshooting my train stop by 7.5km and I had to walk back along a dusty Russian road at 1:30am with a 3% phone battery.
Gorky park is very nice, after all the renovations and investment. Before it used to be a shithole only good for a very crude taste. I myself like Замоскворечье a great deal, starting from the Bolotnaya square with its monuments and then moving south via the Love bridge, the Marfo-Mariinsky Convent, etc. I still have to go see the new Pyatnitskaya, now that it's pedestrian-friendly. Oh, by the way, if you haven't tried Radisson's River Cruises, make sure you do (they start from Hotel Ukraina). It's not a very extensive voyage, but very, very pleasurable. So one final question... can you recommend any places of interest off the beaten track in NYC? Mother's flying next week. Spaseebah bolshoy but I have plenty of locals helping me here. That's actually hard for NYC because it is so beaten down with tourists that there are not really off the path places. Pravda I mostly know off the path clubs and bars, not so much places to go.. I would just say Walking deep into Central Park to see it all and honestly just walking around New York on the streets instead of taking taxi's or the metro. I still enjoy just walking in New York, it is such a wonderfully insane experience that I recommend it.
How are the students and student life in Russia compared to US? Is education system any different? I can't really say? I teach at a private school, I've never seen the inside of a school. That being said students tend to know more languages, but can be totally ignorant about other things.
A kid last week failed to grasp the concept of recycling. That being said, many people are highly educated here and it's common for people to speak two or three languages.
That's your muscovite upper class, which is just a very, very, very small portion of russian society. Go to the vast, dammit, VAST countryside where millions and millions of people live. Finding someone who speaks anything besides Russian is a hard task. I've heard that. Once I get a chance, and honestly once I can speak Russian, I'm going to explore the country and smaller villages.
Hey, this seems awesome! What would you recommend for someone who's interested in pursuing teaching overseas, particularly in Russia? How is the pay (liveable wage? or a pittance?)? Was the application process difficult? Sorry for all of the questions, I'm just super-interested! Let me quote to you the email I just sent to my Dad. "Wouldn't change a thing in the world, I chose right." Does that answer your question lol. Pay is fine. Everything is cheaper in Russia. My flat is paid for and I make enough money on top of that to live comfortably. Applying to the school was sort of difficult but I got in. Applying for the visa was expensive but not that hard.
I would HIGHLY recommend you doing it if it interests you.
Cool, thanks for the info! I think I'm going to look into it further. It sounds like a great experience. It honestly is. It's hard because of all the shit in the news about Russia but if you can look past that and just get here it is really a wonderful place.
Oh yeah, that was another question. Do you think that any of the political turmoil going on right now between Russia and Ukraine will have a negative impact on you and your ability to live and work there? None at all. The worst part is the dollar depreciates from the Ruble but I plan on staying here for a couple of years so it's not really that important.
What kind of program (specific if youre willing) did you go through? CELTA in NYC. It was the hardest thing I ever did in my life, hands down. Completely worth it though, you get what you pay for. I have a wonderful friend in NYC so I stayed there for free but it can be very expensive if you have to pay for the course fee + housing.
They offer it in different cities though, idk where you live
What is most difficult for you in Moscow? Honestly it's that my train stops running at about 12 so I have to be back by then or I'm stuck in Moscow till 5. Lots of guys will just stay out till 5 but I generally don't want to do that.
Other than that not a whole lot. I'm very used to the big city life and public transport.
Have you been hassled by Russian authorities? I.E. Thoughts that you're a spy or illegal immigrant? No it's not like that. There is WAY WAY more police in New York than here. I'm white so I'm unlikely to get harassed. If I was black on the other hand...
There is maybe 1 black person per 1,000 Russian citizens. When I speak English though people do stare at me sometimes.
Why do you like Russia? The food tastes better and is cheaper, everything overall is less expensive, the public transport is amazing, the girls are beautiful, everyone I've talked to has been nice, I can drink in public, Moscow has lots of parks, you have WiFi on the Metro..
everything overall is less expensive. I took a girl out for dinner in a great downtown restaurant for $20 on Wednesday. In New York it would have been $80. My grocery bill costs half as much. Drinks at bars are cheaper. Maybe buying an iPad or a car is more expensive, but I'm not buying an iPad or a car.
Hahahahahhahahahahahhaah.
Manhattan is pretty much one of the only places that we could say is cheaper than moscow. Well that's my comparison point so I suppose I'm coming at this from a different angle than most people.
What are your 50 known Russian words? I'm curious I know how to say "where is" and then a bunch of different words. Introductions, say goodbye, numbers and such. Honestly it's more than 50 but it fucking FEELS like fifty when I have some Russian telling me something and I don't understand anything.
Since you get to live a monk these Russian people on a day to day basis what is the sentiment for the US? They generally are OK with us but hate our Government. The topic doesn't come up much though, things like that are kind of taboo here unless you are very close friends.
I relate a lot to Russians, more so than my friends back in the United States in general.
Have you tried Borscht yet? How do you like the food? The Borscht is excellent. I'm actually surprised how much I like the food! I honestly didn't expect to like it much. Food in grocery stores is healthier and way cheaper, I really like that.
I too, am A New Yorker looking to teach English overseas! How do you get around and do daily things without knowing the language? Often I have my roommate with me who speaks great Russian so that makes things easy. Otherwise I generally can do alright shopping and going to bars I can order a drink. I'll look up specific words / phrases if I know I need to do something complicated.
Less fruit and groceries I hear. This is completely true.. IMO totally put to the fucking side by the fact that food tastes better, it is cheaper and has less chemicals in it. I used to get painful stomach cramps two or three times a week in the States from icky food.. Here, I don't get any of that. The food is better without a question.
A funny thing that happend to you in Russia ? In English I said "existential" in a thick Russian accent and my boss nearly started crying from laughing. So not quite what you're asking..
Honestly nothing overtly crazy yet but I'm sure it will come.
What is the pay like relative to the cost of living? I can live comfortably, drink vodka whenever I want, go out twice every weekend, pay for a girls meal and still save 20% of my paycheck. I understand that's not scientific but it's my subjective experience.
I'm in 3rd year of my B.Ed specializing in teaching english as a second language at university, just wondering what kind of steps you took to find a legitimate position teaching english in a foreign country? Also, how long do you plan on staying there? I took the CELTA and applied for a few jobs. I was offered this position and took it. That's about it honestly. My contract is for 9 months, if I like it I will stay longer probably another couple of years. I am going to become fluent in Russian and that will not come quickly.
How exactly do you become an English teacher? I love learning languages, I'm fluent in Italian and learning Russian and I'd love to teach English abroad. Take a certification course. CELTA is the best / most expensive but other classes are alright too. You have to take one where you actually teach though, online only classes are not held in high esteem.
Then apply for jobs, that's about it.
How are the women? Have you found a local girlfriend? The women are amazing!! Really though big difference from the States. I've been here 10 days and I've gone on two dates but I have not secured a girlfriend just yet
